The latest official version of Friday Night Funkin' for PC is v0.8.3, released in February 2026. This build includes every major content drop: the LE SSERAFIM collaboration, Pit Stop 2, Weekend 1 (Pico's week), Character Select, and all prior updates. Grab the right version for your system below.
What's New in FNF v0.8.3 and v0.8.2
Version 0.8.3 is a small but important patch. It fixes a performance issue that was causing consistent lag spikes during gameplay for a lot of players, and solves a script error when hitting the can in the 2hot stage on HTML5. If you were experiencing stuttering on 0.8.2, this update should sort it out.
The real heavy hitter was v0.8.2, released a day earlier. That update added 14 new blend modes (color dodge, color burn, soft light, exclusion, hue, saturation, luminosity, and more), improvements to the Chart Editor (preview graphs for easing types, note mirroring on X/Y axes), and a deselect button for the Stage Editor. The Spooky Mansion background was optimized with texture atlases, Pico's sprites were re-exported to cut down memory usage, and a long list of bug fixes were rolled out across the board.
On the modding side, Polymod received a massive upgrade: scripted classes can now extend other scripted classes, string interpolation is supported, functions accept unlimited arguments, and default arguments actually work now. If you're a modder, 0.8.2 is a big deal.
LE SSERAFIM Update (v0.8.1)
In case you missed it, v0.8.1 was the update that brought the LE SSERAFIM collaboration to the game. It features a brand new song called Spaghetti where Boyfriend sings alongside the 5 members of the K-Pop group instead of battling them. The song has its own intro cinematic, unique miss animations, and a teaser at the end confirming that Week 8 is on the way.
How to Install Friday Night Funkin' on PC
- Click the Windows download button above.
- Download the .zip file from Mega.
- Right-click the file and select "Extract All" (or use 7-Zip / WinRAR).
- Open the extracted folder and double-click the .exe to play.
If Windows Defender throws a warning, click "More info" and then "Run anyway". This happens because the game isn't digitally signed, not because there's anything wrong with it.
- Click the Mac download button above.
- Download and extract the .zip file.
- If macOS blocks the app, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway".
- Run the application.
- Click the Linux download button above.
- Download and extract the archive.
- If needed, make the binary executable:
chmod +x Funkin - Run the executable from terminal or your file manager.
